Admission test exam dates
1. All admission exams are held online. Admission test exam dates for 2025/26 are:
- Friday 21st of March 2025 (application deadline 7th of March 2025 - now open)
- Saturday 28th of June 2025 (application deadline 14th of June 2025)
- Friday 08h of August 2025 (application deadline 25th of July 2025)
You may register for the exam nore than once
2. Documents to be submitted with your application at the time of registration
- A picture/scan of your passport or ID for identification purposes
- Payment slip/confirmation showing the payment of 70 Euros for the application fee
Other documents (must be submitted to complete your application but can be added later)
- End of School Leaving Certificate
- Doctors note/confirmation stating your overall fitness to study at a university level
3. Dean´s Admission Commitee meeting dates: end of March 2025, end of June 2025 and end of August 2025.
4. Announcing and obtaining the official test results:
It takes approximately seven working days for us to process and ratify the exam results. The final admission test results will be published on the faculty web www.jfmed.uniba.sk , using the E-application number your application was allocated at the time of registering the for the exam.
The decision on admission/conditional admission or non-admission will be sent to you in writing no later than 30 days after the relevant date of the admission test exam.

Admission requirements
Internal regulations govern the admission process at JFMED. To be able to study at JFMED, you must meet the following criteria:
- To have completed or be in the process of completing the secondary education (the equivalent of Level 4 on the European Qualification Framework) and be able to provide a Certificate of Completed Secondary Education.
- To pass the admission exam to a required standard, in biology and chemistry
- To provide a medical confirmation of general health and the ability to study at the university level.
- Pay the admission fee of €70 at the time of submitting your application
As part of your application process, you will also have to submit the following documentation:
- A copy/scan of your passport (picture page with the personal details) for ID proposes
- A copy/scan of the Certificate of fitness from your GP/Doctor that confirms that there are no physical and mental impediments that affect your ability to study at a university level.
- A copy/scan of your completed secondary education certificate. If at the time of applying, you are still studying at the secondary level, you can submit your Certificate at a later stage. Please contact Mrs Eva Štermenská at eva.stermenska@uniba.sk for more information

Documents required to be submitted with your application
1. A scan of your passport (front page containing your picture and basic personal information)
2. A copy (scan) of your End of the Secondary Education Certificate (at this stage, the Certificate does not need to be translated into Slovakian). If you still do not have your Certificate, please contact the JFMED Admission Office and arrange for it to be submitted at a later stage.
3. A copy (scan) of Certificate of Fitness – a note issued by your doctor confirming that you are able to study at the university level. We accept Certificate of Fitness issued in the English and German language. The Certificate must be legible, signed and stamped by the doctor. There is no prescribed format for the Certificate of Fitness, you can use one issued by your doctor or this template.
4. Confirmation of admission fee (€70) payment. When making the BACS transfer, please ensure that in the payee reference field you provide the payment details as it appears in your application payment order, so that we can allocate the payment correctly.

Information for admitted students
If you have received a letter with a place offer to study at JFMED, you will need complete a few more steps to properly register you intent and submit some documents that will support your application. Please read this Document to guide through the process. Please read it carefully and, should you have any questions, please refer to the Document for the contact details for the relevant personnel.
- Return digital slip (sent with your acceptance email)
- Have the original copy of your End of School Leaving Certificate apostilled and translated into Slovakian and then post it to the JFMED Admission Office, 4A Malá Hora, 036 01 Martin, Slovakia.
- Inlcude the Letter of Authorisation with your documents
- If you already haven´t done so, email a copy of your Certificate of Fitness and confirmation of your vaccination against Hepatitis B to the JFMED Admission Office.

Other useful information
The tuition fee of €11,500 must be paid before the start of the semester (semester starts in mid-September 2025). Payment should be done via BACS from paymnet order generated in AIS.
