General Medicine study programme
General medicine programme at a glance
The General Medicine programme takes six years to complete and the teaching is split into pre-clinical and clinical courses. Aligned with the ECTs system, the Diploma awarded by JFMED is globally recognised and is a mark of quality education in medicine and science.
The first three years of the programme are spent on teaching the fundamental aspects of the structure and the function of the human body and the basic concepts of mechanism of underlying diseases. The remaining three years focus on developing clinical and specialists clinical skills.

- Is a joint programme of undergraduate and postgraduate cycles
- Follows the ECTS credit system
- Takes six academic years to complete
- The academic year is split into the winter and summer semesters
- Each semester lasts approximately 15 weeks

- At the end of the studies, students are awarded a title MUDr. (Medicinae Universae Doctor - Doctor of Medicine)
