Ethics Committee
Independent Ethics Committee was set up by the decision of the Faculty Board of the Jessenius Faculty of Comenius University on March 19, 2000 responsible for all workplaces covered by the organizational structure of the Jessenius Faculty of Medicine, Comenius University in Martin.
In 2006, the Ethics Committee of JFMED CU was registered under no. IORG0004721 at the US Office for Human Research Protection, US Department of Health and Human Services and after approval, the Committee got a certification with the code "IRB00005636 Jessenius Faculty of Medicine, Comenius University in Martin IRB # 1".
Activities of Independent Ethics Committee at the Jessenius Faculty of Medicine, Comenius University in Martin shall follow and shall be based on:
- ethical principles for medical research involving human subjects,
- ethical principles of physiological research conducted on animals,
- ethical principles of physiological studies in humans.
Activities of Independent Ethics Committee are governed in accordance with Rules of Procedure.
