Acta Medica Martiniana
Acta Medica Martiniana is a scientific journal owned by the Jessenius Faculty of Medicine, Comenius University, Slovakia, first published in December 2001. It is a continuation of the journal/almanac Folia Medica Martiniana, issued from 1971 to 1996. Since 2011, the journal is published by the Sciendo Publishing House.
The journal is a platform for dissemination of research results and scientific knowledge from all areas of medicine as well as other health sciences. Its goals include stimulation, facilitation and supporting of publication activity of young scientists and investigators, particularly young novice authors such as PhD students and post-doctorials.
Acta Medica Martiniana publishes high quality original papers (both in extenso and short communications), case reports and review articles. All submitted manuscripts go through an anonymous (double blind) peer-review process.
Acta Medica Martiniana is an open-access journal, however, authors are not required to pay any article processing charge. The journal is published three times per year.
