The International Conference "Šubjak's Day" Celebrated Its 25th Anniversary
University Hospital Martin became a hub of international dialogue and scholarly exchange on April 14, 2023. The hospital played host to the 25th annual "Šubjak's Day", a conference focusing on the field of oral and maxillofacial surgery.
The event was presided over by the Dean of Jessenius Faculty of Medicine, Prof. Andrea Čalkovská, DrSc., and the Director of Martin University Hospital, MUDr. Ivan Kocan, PhD. The conference was inaugurated by Associate Prof. Maria Janíčková, PhD., MPH, head of the Department of Dentistry and Maxillofacial Surgery at the Jessenius Faculty of Medicine and the University Hospital Martin.
The annual conference, held in honor of Associate Prof. Jan Šubjak, was a vibrant mix of enlightening lectures, rigorous debates, and memorable moments.
A significant highlight of the event was the recognition of MUDr. Dagmar Statelová, CSc., the Vice Dean for Educational Activities in the field of Dental Medicine. In acknowledgment of her contribution to the growth of the Slovak Medical Society, she was bestowed with a gold medal.
The professional gathering provided not only experienced practitioners but also dental students with a unique opportunity to interact and engage with top experts in the field. This allowed a shared platform for discussing new trends and challenges in oral and maxillofacial surgery, fostering an environment of learning and collaboration.
