Canteen Guide for Students

The student canteen is located directly inside the University Dormitory building at L. Novomeského 7, Martin.

To be served meals, you must have a valid student ID card (ISIC) and a sufficient financial balance on your catering account. Deposits to your account must be made via bank transfer (internet banking). To ensure your payment is correctly credited to your catering account, it is critical to use your University Personal Number as the Variable Symbol (Variabilný symbol).

• SK17 8180 0000 0070 0022 3898 – for External Diners

Meal Options:

• Cheaper lunch variant / Breakfast: A selection of 1–3 meals (labeled as 1, 2, 3).
• Standard Lunch: A selection of 3–7 meals (labeled as 1, 2, 3,6,11,12...). Meal No. 4 (4) is a gluten-free, lactose-free, and dairy-free special diet. Meal No. 5 (5) is a quick-order option (minútka) available without pre-ordering. Meal No. 7 (7) is pizza, and Meal No. 10 (10) is a premium, higher-priced lunch option.

Ordering Meals:

• Cheaper lunch variant: Must be ordered by 10:00 AM the day before.
• Standard lunches: Must be ordered by 1:00 PM the day before.

You can place your order using the terminal directly inside the canteen or online via the website uniba.sk. The password required for online ordering can be obtained in person from Mrs. Baková, or requested via email from Mrs. Kašovičová (babeta.kasovicovauniba.sk) or Mr. Hampel (hampel2uniba.sk).

Food Exchange (BURZA):
If you have a pre-ordered meal that you no longer want, you can put it into the "BURZA" (Food Exchange). This meal can then be purchased by another diner until 12:30 PM at the L. Novomeského 7 location.

Opening Hours and Meal Distribution:
Meal distribution for students takes place exclusively at the L. Novomeského 7 facility.

• Student Cheaper Variant / Breakfast: 6:30 AM – 9:30 AM
• Lunch (Students, Staff, and External Diners): 11:30 AM – 2:00 PM
• Dinner (Students and PhD Students): 5:30 PM – 6:30 PM

• Student Lunch: 3.80 € subsidized / 6.20 € non-subsidized
• Student Premium Lunch: 7.60 € subsidized / 10.00 € non-subsidized
• Student Second Lunch / Dinner: 3.80 € subsidized / 6.20 € non-subsidized
• External Diners: 6.60 € – 10.50 € (including VAT)
