Checking out
Instructions for Moving Out in the 2025/2026 Academic Year
Accommodated students must check out from the University dormitory during working days by June 30, 2026, at the Accommodation Office:
Monday – Thursday: 8:00 AM – 11:30 AM and 12:30 PM – 2:00 PM
Friday: 8:00 AM – 11:30 AM and 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM
or by individual agreement with an Accommodation office staff member.
Students in Final Years
A final-year student ceases to be a student on the day of their final state examination.
If the final exam is in May, the student must check out in May and is not required to pay rent for June.
If the final exam is in June, the student checks out in that month and must pay the full monthly rent for June, regardless of the number of nights spent at the dormitory.
FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS:
Pick up the "ODCHODKA" (Departure Form) at the reception and fill in your personal details.
The room and all its parts (balcony, hallway, bathroom, doors) must be clean, and furniture must be in its original place. The refrigerator must be washed, defrosted, left open, and switched off.

Return all borrowed items.
Follow the form: return bed linen, have the room checked by the cleaning staff, then by the maintenance worker/caretaker, visit the Property Department and finally the Accommodation Office.
Any damages will be deducted from your deposit. If the damage exceeds the deposit, the difference must be paid at the reception before submitting the form
The form must be signed by staff on the day of departure. Failure to check out by June 30, 2026, will result in a fine.
Failure to check out properly or settle financial obligations will prevent future accommodation at any Comenius University facility, even if accommodation is assigned via the electronic system. Unpaid debts will be handled legally.
Deposits and Refunds:
Update your contact details and IBAN in your account at ubytovanie.uniba.sk. The remaining deposit and e-wallet balance will be returned via bank transfer within 30 days after the end of your stay.
- Note: If you have a foreign bank account, email your IBAN (from your UNIBA email) to the officer who received your Departure Form.
Summer Accommodation (After June 30, 2026):
Apply between June 1, 2026, and June 20, 2026, in person at the Accommodation office or via email (andrea.simkova@uniba.sk, jana.kubickova@uniba.sk).
Specify the dates and reason (e.g., mandatory internship with documentation or private reasons).
Due to renovations, you will be assigned a different room.
