I. Inpatient care

is an essential part of the complex care system for a broad range of neurological conditions.

Number of beds: 36

Patients are admitted:

Planned admissions through the Neurology Clinic’s admission service
Transfers from other Martin University Hospital clinics or healthcare facilities
Emergency admissions during weekdays or through the hospital’s emergency service

This part of the clinic is functionally and organisationally divided into:

a./ Diagnostic and Therapeutic Unit (Pavilion 8/1)

This unit provides general inpatient care for patients with neurological conditions who do not require intensive monitoring. It has 26 beds, including 4 allocated for intermediate care.

In line with the guidelines for differentiated care, this unit ensures rapid diagnosis, intensive treatment and nursing care for patients in life-threatening conditions affecting the central or peripheral nervous system. These include cerebrovascular, tumour-related and seizure disorders. It also manages comatose states with suspected CNS involvement. The unit has 10 beds.

II. Outpatient Care

Opening Hours:
Mon–Fri: 07:00–09:00 – sample collection and administration of prescribed therapy
09:00–15:00 – consultations by appointment
Acute cases are prioritised.

Services provided:

Specialist neurological care for patients within the clinic’s catchment area
Consultations referred by private regional neurologists
Coordination of emergency and planned admissions
Consultations for inpatients from other clinics or the emergency department
Examinations are performed at the outpatient clinic or bedside
Follow-up care for selected neurological conditions
Recommendations for spa treatment
Prescriptions for medical aids
Preparation of both short- and long-term expert medical opinions (including forensic)
