Jessenius Faculty of Medicine has a new professor

Slovak Republic President, Zuzana Čaputová, has appointed new professors to universities, including Martina Šutovská from the Department of Pharmacology at our faculty. The appointments were made on Wednesday, April 12, 2023.

In her speech, President Čaputová emphasized that the new professors were seen as scientific and professional authorities who have a fundamental impact on the quality and credibility of the university environment. She stressed that this impact extended beyond the level of education itself, and included human parameters such as openness, honesty, respect, and a sense of fairness.

The president added that defining these qualities in universities and high schools is essential to create an environment that supports creativity, critical thinking, and substantive discussions among students and colleagues. She also pointed out that the new appointments present further opportunities for the professors to support these qualities in their students and colleagues.
