  • The Slovak Diabetology Society of the Slovak Medical Society awarded a society prize to Prof. MUDr. Marián Mokáň, DrSc., FRCP Edin, and Prof. MUDr. Peter Galajda, CSc., for the scientific monograph: “Hypoglycemia in Patients with Diabetes Mellitus.”

  • The Slovak Medical Society awarded the gold medal “Propter Merita” to Prof. MUDr. Peter Galajda, CSc., for contributions to the development of the Slovak Medical Society.

  • The Slovak Society of Internal Medicine of the Slovak Medical Society recognized the lecture by MUDr. Tomáš Bolek, PhD, and colleagues: “Necrotizing Pancreatitis: Is Surgical Intervention Currently Necessary?” as the best lecture in internal medicine at the III.   • The Slovak Medical Society awarded Assoc. Prof. MUDr. Milan Ochodnický, CSc. a Gold Medal for his contribution to the development and advancement of the Slovak Medical Society.

  • The Slovak Society of Internal Medicine and the Slovak Rheumatology Society (SLS) awarded Assoc. Prof. MUDr. Milan Ochodnický, CSc. a certificate of appreciation for his successful and dignified representation of Slovak medicine in domestic and international scientific and professional forums.

  • The Rector of Comenius University awarded a Silver Medal of Comenius University in Bratislava to Prof. MUDr. Marián Mokáň, DrSc., FRCP Edin, for his long-term pedagogical, scientific, and clinical contribution and for promoting the reputation of the university at home and abroad.
