INFORMATION ABOUT COVID-19 MEASURES AND TEACHING AT JFM CU
You may already be aware that the Covid-19 pandemic situation in Slovakia has been steadily improving and, as of Monday 19th April 2021, the Government of the Slovak Republic (SR) has announced some easing of current measures and restrictions.
However, restrictions to travel/commute and the curfew still apply (with some exemptions being granted to certain groups of the population) and the state of emergency is still in place until at least 28th April 2021 (subject to change).
One of the groups exempt from the restrictions to travel/commute (internally within the territory of SR for the purpose of work or study) are higher education students of the 4th, 5th and 6th year completing medical and medicine-related disciplines programmes.
The Comenius University is currently engaged in conversation with relevant authorities and is discussing the possibility of restarting face-to-face teaching once the state of emergency (currently set to continue until 28th April) has been lifted.
The online teaching is remaining in place for the time being and any proposed changes to the format of teaching will be communicated to and discussed with international students in advance.
Please treat this message as an update on the current situation and any changes and/or newly adopted measures will be communicated to you in advance and as/when applicable.
