The Dean of the Jessenius Faculty of Medicine in Martin will be Professor Andrea Čalkovská

At a public meeting on 15 November 2018, the Academic Senate of the Jessenius Faculty of Medicine in Martin elected Professor Andrea Čalkovská to the position of dean of Jessenius Faculty of Medicine in Martin.

Professor Andrea Čalkovská will become the first woman to hold this position in the fifty-year history of the Jessenius Faculty of Medicine in Martin and will run it from 1 February 2019 to 31 January 2023. She will be appointed as the faculty’s dean by the Comenius University Rector following a recommendation by the faculty’s Academic Senate.

Currently Professor Čalkovská is the faculty’s first vice-dean and vice-dean for science and research.
