Prestigious Award for Best Lecture at CIRSE 2022
From the CIRSE 2022 congress held in Barcelona, Spain, a team of authors from the Radiological Clinic of the Jessenius Faculty of Medicine Comenius University in Martin, and University Hospital Martin brought home the accolade of the Best Scientific Paper Award.
The annual congress of the European Society of Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology boasted approximately 8,000 participants, with over 400 lectures being presented. "This event is a leading global platform for minimally invasive procedures performed using radiological imaging methods," MUDr. Ján Sýkora, who accepted the award, explained the essence of CIRSE 2022.
According to Sýkora, "The award-winning lecture evaluated the long-term effectiveness of a new generation of endovascular techniques used in the treatment and prevention of cerebrovascular accidents, specifically addressing the narrowing of the cerebral artery."
The Best Scientific Paper Award is a testament to the significant scientific work carried out by the Radiological Clinic of the Jessenius Faculty of Medicine Comenius University in Martin, and University Hospital Martin, with an impact that is recognized across Europe. "This is an acknowledgment of the longstanding work by the Interventional Radiology team," added MUDr. Ján Sýkora.
