Faculty Meeting with University Hospital Martin Leadership
Keeping with tradition, the wider leadership of the University Hospital Martin and Jessenius Faculty of Medicine has again conducted their joint meetings. While both function as separate institutions, they form an inseparable entity and their cooperation is of utmost importance – be it in education, ensuring professional practice for medicine and nursing students, or in scientific research.
This informal working breakfast, held this time within the hospital premises on June 12, 2023, tackled a number of current topics and sought joint solutions. The meeting also touched upon the project of the new hospital and the land it's set to occupy. Another topic of discussion was the Da Vinci robotic system, a recent acquisition of the faculty, currently being used for surgical, urological, and gynecological operations in the University Hospital Martin.
The dialogues extended to collaboratively organized activities such as Medgames 2023, scheduled to take place this fall and, once again, within the authentic hospital setting. The agenda also encompassed specialist and residency studies, and the possibility of submitting joint projects from current and future calls.
Maintaining cordial relations and a unified approach in various areas are critical for both institutions, and they intend to continue these collaborative meetings.
