History

Jesseniova faculty has been running the student house on L.Novomeského Street No.7 since 1964. Over the years, the residence has inevitably undergone many design and staff changes. Minor additions, including a dining hall and a brand new library and technology center, have been added to create a fully functional student environment. Despite the many changes, the exterior façade of the building has remained unchanged and continues to be a recognizable feature of Martin, standing proudly on Malá Hora.

 

Later, the faculty acquired another student home on Hviezdoslavova Street No 35. The residence still provides accommodation for students as well as JLF staff. The two residences are only a short distance from each other and are within easy reach of the city centre.

 

Currently both residences are managed by Ing. Paula Plešková and her team.
