History

The Jessenius Faculty has been operating  Mala Hora student residence since 1964. Inevitably and over the years,  the residence has undergone many design and personnel changes. Smaller outbuildings, including a canteen and a brand new library and a technology centre, were added to create a fully functional student environment. Despite the many changes, the outside façade of the building has remained the same and continues to be a recognisable feature of Martin, proudly sitting on the hill of Mala Hora.

Later, the Faculty has acquired another student residence at Hviezdoslava street. To this date, the residence provides accommodation to students as well as to staff from the University Hospital in Martin. Both residences are a short walk apart and within a very easy reach of the town centre.

Currently, both residences are managed by PhDr. Jana Seryova and her team.
